House of the Fearless Returns
This year, House of the Fearless returned with a Halloween-inspired circus, reimagined with dazzling new acts, surprises, and extra treats for our neighbors and friends. If you weren’t there, you truly missed one of the most fun and festive events of the fall season in Chicago!
Pre-Show Festivities
The evening kicked off early, and MSA’s “backyard” was alive with energy and creativity! Families and trick-or-treaters came dressed in incredible costumes, showing off characters ranging from whimsical creatures to spooky zombies. Guests snapped photos at the balloon-decorated Candy Shop photo op, played festive games like pumpkin toss and ring toss witch hat, and enjoyed freshly grilled hot dogs and seasonal treats. The atmosphere was electric — laughter, cheers, and the excitement of Halloween filled the air. It was the perfect way to start the evening and set the stage for the show to come. Rehearsals & Show Prep
For two months, MSA students worked tirelessly to perfect their routines, demonstrating incredible focus, teamwork, and courage. In the final stretch, our professional circus artists joined the process, elevating each act and offering students a unique chance to perform in the same ring alongside. With only a couple of days to bring the full show to completion, everyone pulled together with energy and excitement, even the youngest cast members kept up with over 6 hours straight of rehearsing! The Show
When the lights dimmed, the ring came alive with thrilling performances that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Each act was carefully designed with creativity and attention to detail, fully in theme with the House of the Fearless spirit. Guests were delighted by crawling spiders, haunted dolls, zombies, and other spooky surprises. The performers’ skill, imagination, and storytelling made the show unforgettable — a perfect blend of artistry, spectacle, and heart.
Exclusive After-Show Costume Contest
The excitement didn’t end when the curtain closed. Our exclusive after-show costume contest invited guests to showcase their Halloween characters and win fantastic prizes from our generous partners, including Margie’s Candy, MSA & Circus Arts gift cards, and more. One of the standout winners was Wednesday, whose amazing costume, strong character, and infectious charisma won the loudest applause. The ring was alive with laughter, creativity, and community spirit — a magical ending to a memorable night.
